Season of Kkok Du - an underground deity whose task is to accompany the deceased in the afterlife. This duty once became his curse for his transgressions against the Creator. The grim punishment hardened Kkok Du's heart, making him indifferent to human sorrows. Furthermore, every 99 years, the reaper of death must ascend to the mortal world and punish sinners. Kkok Du inhabits the body of a suitable person for 29 days and exacts vengeance with their hands. But the next visit to the world of the living doesn't go as planned when the angel of death meets Han Ge-jol, a doctor who has faced many trials. Unexpectedly, the fearsome deity becomes the protector of fragile Han Ge-jol and gets a chance to see the world of humans in a different light.
