Nina and Petr are happily married and have long dreamed of becoming parents. However, due to the fear of infertility, Nina is unable to conceive. The doctor suggests they adopt a baby first, but Petr adamantly refuses to raise someone else's child. Everything changes with a sudden tragedy: Nina becomes a victim of rape. She doesn't tell her husband about what happened and tries to forget the horrifying events as soon as possible. But soon she discovers that she is pregnant from her attacker. Upon learning the truth, Petr insists on having an abortion. However, for Nina, this is her last chance to give birth. Meanwhile, investigator Viktor, whom she operated on after he was wounded, starts showing interest in Nina. Her acquaintance with Viktor will lead to revelations that will turn her whole life upside down...
