"Hammer and Rose: A Behzat C. Story" is a Turkish crime series that combines elements of detective, thriller, comedy, and drama. It is a new adaptation of Emrah Serbes' books, featuring the charismatic Erdal Besikcioglu reprising his role as Chief Inspector Behzat. Behzat is a tough police officer from Ankara, sporting an impressive mustache and carrying a heavy past. He feels useless outside of work, which he openly admits to his daughter. She is experiencing her first love, but her father doesn't even find the time to meet her boyfriend. However, when it comes to investigations, Behzat is unmatched. The entire police station is in an uproar when someone kills their cat. And of course, Behzat and his friends decide to uncover the truth. In the process, he accidentally discovers a buried lake with the bodies of murdered people, surrounded by land owned by a powerful construction corporation.
