A Peruvian lawyer tries to make a living in Paris and unexpectedly encounters his first love - a beautiful rebel with multiple names. Their paths diverge and intersect in different cities around the world over the course of decades. This Latin American melodrama is set against the backdrop of the 1950s-1980s, based on the novel of the same name by Nobel laureate Mario Vargas Llosa.
Ricardo was born and raised in Lima, but he is searching for his place under the sun in Paris. So far, without success. There is no work, no money to pay for housing, but a new friend, an immigrant from his homeland, offers him a temporary job for the sake of the revolution. To start, they need to pick up three female guerrillas from the airport. Ricardo has been in love with one of them since his youth. Back then, her name was Lily, she pretended to be Chilean, and she danced better than anyone in the world. The infatuated teenage Ricardo had no idea who he had gotten involved with. The "Naughty Girl" will break his heart multiple times, deceive him, disappear, and then reappear, while he remains just as infatuated and in love.
