Bored to Death (2009 - 2011)

The action takes place in New York City. The protagonist is a thirty-year-old writer named Jonathan Ames. He lives in Brooklyn and is going through a breakup with his girlfriend, who left him, accusing him of excessive drinking and drug use. Jonathan is experiencing a genre crisis and is unable to start writing his second novel. In an attempt to overcome his boredom, he posts an ad on a website offering his services as a private detective.
