"For the People" is a series about the everyday lives of a group of talented lawyers who are just starting their careers. After graduating from university, best friends Sandra and Allison become public defenders in the prestigious Southern District Court of New York. Under the guidance of Carlan, the girls represent both prosecutors and defense attorneys in the city's most high-profile and controversial cases. They will have to face various challenges in their professional and personal lives.
