The TV series "Mosgaz" is based on historical events that took place in Moscow in 1962. Vladimir Ionesyan, a maniac who became the first official serial killer, posed as an employee of the Moscow Gas Company and infiltrated the homes of Muscovites. His victims included not only adult men, but also pregnant women, children, and elderly people. At that time, mothers even scared their disobedient children with the nickname of this maniac.
