Welcome to the backstage of British aristocracy. Patrick Melrose, a wealthy drug addict, alcoholic, and overall idler, tries to forget about his toxic childhood through various substances. But he always finds himself returning to memories where his seemingly beloved father treated him cruelly. And then there's the whole aristocratic entourage, lavish dinners, extravagance, and pomp. Patrick can only hope that one day his friend won't come, and he will finally be able to end his life.
