The Thick of It (2005 - 2012)

The plot of the series "The Thick of It" takes place in the corridors of a British government building. The new Minister for Social Affairs, Hugh Abbott, finds himself in a confrontation with Malcolm Tucker. Tucker is an experienced White House communications director who excels at weaving underhanded intrigues and manipulating the press to his advantage. Even seasoned politicians are wary of dealing with this person, but Abbott has his own strategy, which he hopes will help him gain power.
