Shōgun – The series "Shōgun" is a historical drama set in feudal Japan. Brave English sailor John Blackthorne suffers a shipwreck on foreign shores and, along with his crew, finds himself in captivity. Influential local lord Toranagi, who owns land on the coast, immediately takes an interest in the young educated youth. Trained in the finest European traditions, John excels in physics, mathematics, cartography, and military affairs. Toranagi decides to keep such a valuable captive by his side.
