The Newsreader – The events take place in the mid-1980s in the news department of a private television station. A young journalist named Dale Jennings and a promising newsreader named Helen Norville decide to join forces to start using an unconventional method of delivering news. The main characters are tired of the mentor-like tone of the newsreaders and the artificial strictness with which they appear on screen. This duo wants to offer viewers a completely different kind of television... They want to bring a fresh approach to news delivery.
