Sedmaya simfoniya – The Russian TV series "Seventh Symphony" tells the incredible story of the struggle of Leningrad musicians for the future of their country during the years of the blockade. In the besieged city, sheet music of Shostakovich's composition is delivered straight from Kuibyshev. The Seventh Symphony must be played on the national radio to give hope to the residents of the entire USSR. However, assembling an orchestra in blockaded Leningrad proves to be extremely difficult. All the musicians have gone to the front, been evacuated, or simply perished. The task is entrusted to conductor Karl Eliasberg.
