4400 – 4400 people who were somehow underestimated have disappeared without a trace over the past century. Suddenly, all these people are found in Detroit in an instant. The disappeared have not changed in any way and cannot remember what happened. While the authorities try to understand this unusual phenomenon and determine if there is a potential threat, a corrections officer and an ordinary social worker find themselves among those who have to deal with these mysterious refugees.
