Chelyuskin. Pervye – The series "Chelyuskin. The First" is a Russian historical drama based on a real rescue operation. In February 1934, Otto Schmidt and his team of polar explorers set themselves an ambitious goal - to traverse the entire Northern Sea Route in one navigation season. However, this risky venture turns into a true tragedy. The steamship "Chelyuskin" becomes trapped between ice floes and begins to sink. The crew disembarks from the ship, but for them, it means not salvation, but only the beginning of a long and dangerous journey to rescue.
