Kotaro Lives Alone – "Kotarō wa Hitori Gurashi" is a Japanese comedy-drama anime series that tells the incredible story of a lonely four-year-old boy named Kotarō Sato. He settles in a partially destroyed multi-story house and befriends a struggling neighbor who is an artist and manga illustrator. Kotarō has never had parents, and despite his young age, he starts earning a living on his own. His peculiar neighbor assists him in this endeavor.
