Funny Woman – The series is based on the eponymous novel by writer Nick Hornby. The story revolves around an attractive woman who decides to become a comedian. Barbara receives the prestigious title of Miss Blackpool and then moves to the British capital to start her life anew. Upon arriving in the big city, she begins to appear in comedy films, gradually paving her way to success. One day, she lands the lead role in a famous sitcom.
