The Artful Dodger – The series is based on the classic English novel "Oliver Twist" by Charles Dickens. The events take place in 1850s Australia. The plot revolves around Jack Dawkins, known as the Artful Dodger, a skilled thief and trickster. The main character struggles in vain to rid himself of his bad habits, but nothing seems to work. Dawkins continues to live a double life - he is both a pickpocket and a surgeon. Talented robberies are interspersed with life-saving operations.
