Święta noc – On Christmas Eve, the film's protagonist, Ewa, waits for her family, scattered all over Europe, to return home. At last her husband Adam, who works in Germany, turns up. Two children are also due to arrive. However, the evening does not go well. A long-standing conflict erupts between the couple. An irritated Adam leaves the flat. Ewa is left alone. But not for long. A young man knocks on her door - Santa Claus, who is... Santa Claus in a red hat with a beard stuck on. He is handsome, witty and already slightly drunk.
